Fine hosiery is made from small loops of yarn under tension. A few simple habits can reduce unnecessary stress on the knit and help preserve its fit and finish.
CARE GUIDE
HANDLE WITH CARE. WEAR WITH CONFIDENCE.
PUTTING THEM ON
Check fingernails, rings and jewelry for rough edges before handling fine hosiery.
Gather one leg of the tights toward the toe, place the foot inside, then gradually release the fabric up the leg.
Avoid pulling the garment upward from the waistband in one movement.
WASH GENTLY
Hand wash hosiery in cold water with a small amount of gentle detergent.
Avoid aggressive rubbing, twisting or wringing.
After rinsing, gently press out excess water.
LET THEM DRY NATURALLY
Lay hosiery flat to dry.
Avoid tumble drying and direct heat sources, which can place unnecessary stress on stretch fibers.
STORE SMOOTHLY
Fold or loosely roll each pair and store it away from exposed zippers, hooks, jewelry or other sharp hardware.
For sheer styles, also check the inside of footwear for rough seams or damaged surfaces that could repeatedly catch the knit.
Cold water. Gentle handling. No wringing. No direct heat. Smooth storage.
